Abstract diagram of five small motion-primitive nodes connecting into one larger emphasized node, representing the composition of motion primitives into an integrated architecture.

Research associate at the CoR-Lab (Cognition and Robotics) at Bielefeld University from 2010 to 2015, working on model-based software and systems engineering for robotics.

My doctoral thesis, "Modeling of Motion Primitive Architectures using Domain-Specific Languages," tackled how to tame the complexity of robot software through the right abstractions - a theme that runs through everything I have done since.
