Who I am
I like robots that fuse software, hardware, and AI.
VP Technology & Innovation at NEURA Robotics
I'm Arne Nordmann, Vice President Technology & Innovation at NEURA Robotics. I'm an engineer with a passion for robotics and the deep integration of software, hardware, and AI into systems that work in the real world.
My path runs from academic research - robot software architectures, domain-specific languages, model-based safety - through industrial R&D at Bosch, to engineering and technology leadership at NEURA Robotics.
As VP Technology & Innovation, two threads run through my work. Together with NEURA's engineering teams, I work on making physical AI genuinely multi-modal through NEURA's Perception-Language-Action (PLA) approach, closing the loop from what a robot senses to what it does. And through NEURA Gym and the partnerships I help build, I work on the ecosystem that lets cognitive, humanoid robots actually get deployed - not just demoed.
Outside of work, I'm a lifelong robotics enthusiast who's also genuinely concerned about the climate crisis - both part of how I think about what technology should be for.

Full-stack integration
The hardest problems in cognitive robotics sit at the seams - where software, hardware, and AI have to work as one system, not three.
Engineering rigor
Years in model-driven systems engineering and safety assessment still shape how I think about robots that need to work reliably in the real world.
Empathic leadership
Strong engineering culture comes from trust, clarity, and respect for the people who build.
